Creative Critical Reflection

 

Hello Cambridge, this will be my last blog post for a a good while. In the video below is my critical reflection where I talk about my movie into What Happened To Violet. This Video contains me answering questions about my film while also talking about the processes and behind the scenes.The critiacal reflection also talks about how the movie  challenges certain convetions. This post will be my last I would just like to say thank you for the opportunity and thank you for coming on this journey with me.

Final Film

 Hello there, Cambridge. My final film gets assaulted in the video below. In this version, I revise and make the required modifications to make my film the best it can be. Making this film taught me a lot of new things and gave me a lot of exciting knowledge that will assist me in the future. This has broadened my understanding and educated me on the subject.

Peer Feedback

During this stage of the curriculum, we were advised to conduct a peer review for our initial draft. My teams and I received comments from classmates. We were told to cut the walking scene, add music in the background, flip the first shot, and find a way to persuade the spectator to keep watching. They also said that, despite the obstacles, our image was great and outstanding. My teammates and I will take your input into consideration and make the necessary modifications to enhance our video.

First Draft of Film

The movie below shows my group's initial draft for our film What Happened To Violet. It's about a girl named Violet who unexpectedly vanished. We want our films to provide a message to bullied youngsters that there are individuals who care about them, even if it is not visible. This introductory film was made possible thanks to the efforts of everyone in the group.We studied the principles required to create the opening scene. Then we practiced the principles on various tasks before applying what we learned to create this opening scene. To put it bluntly, this was difficult, but I am quite satisfied with the end outcome and the things I learned.

Preliminary Excise Post Production ( Pt 4)

This aspect of the post-production process was mainly up to me. I was thinking about the visual features of mine and my group's opening video, and how particular filters may completely transform the meaning of a film. I understood what my group was looking for since we had previously discussed the tone of our films. When selecting filters for specific situations, I always attempted to think about what would best interest our audience. For example, when Violet attempts to alert Britt that someone is following her, I applied a dark effect to the film to try to represent the shadiness in this image. 

 

Preliminary Excise Post Production ( Pt 3)

 During this stage of the pre-production process, I concentrated on transitions. Transitions aid in the seamless transition from one scene to the next. This aspect of the editing process was not initially discussed by my group. We discussed the tone we wanted to establish in our film, but never the specific transitions that would help us achieve it. So the transitions were entirely up to me. I decided to use largely fade to black and swipe to left transitions to help build the tone of the film, which would be gloomy and mournful. 

Preliminary Excise Post Production ( Pt 2)

 Then we added  titles and sound effects in the opening sequence were added in the next post-production process. We had previously decided on the music for the first scene as a group. We also decided who would be mentioned in the credits. To carry out the idea we discussed as a group, I had to buy a song called Running out of time and trim it so that it only played for the parts I desired. I picked a title and hit it till it looked like little words for the credits. Then I put the title bar over the clip, which played as credits.

Preliminary Excise Post Production ( Pt 1)

 Film editing is the conclusion of all the footage done throughout the production process of a film. After the production phase is over, the post-production phase begins. This is the stage at which all of the supplementary sound effects, transitions, and titles are added. This is something that my group and I have done. In my group, I was the editor. 

     Before we began editing, we discussed the aesthetic elements we wanted to include in our film. The color of our title, the credits, and the sound effects are only a few examples. Our title was white and black in hue. The contrast between white and black provides a feeling of mystery.

Production Week ( Pt 4)

My group got the method down pat throughout this stage of the production process. We were effectively connecting with one another and capturing the group's collective opinions on tape. It was great to know that our group was working as a healthy, functional bodily component. Our filming was looking like it might have been a real movie, and we were proud of it. We made joke to make the assignment more fun and interactive. In the Image Below a joke was made about all the issues we were having.

This was a fantastic opportunity for me. 

Production Week ( Pt 3)

 This was my first appearance in front of the camera in the film. It was terrifying and hilarious all at the same time. It gave me a taste of what it's like to have your moment in the spotlight. It felt fantastic. Along with this sensation, I am generally behind the camera. They were both in a terrific mood. three errors occurred The first is that a student went right through us while we were filming. Second, because Jamar (who played the stalker in the film) did not move quickly enough, when Saryah (who played Brit) turned around, she spotted him, and the camera caught up on that. Finally, the audio in this scene is quite low, which would have been a significant issue during editing.

Production Week ( Pt 2)

During this stage of the project, my crew was becoming better acquainted with one another. We were becoming more at ease with laying out our scene and having everything in the scene just how we wanted it. We were also still working on getting the movie's rhythm together. To do this, we began using other shots than what was on our storyboard in order to get the desired end effect of the shot. 

   In this blooper, the cameraman was supposed to acquire a dolly motion shot, but instead, the cameraman kept knocking into the performers. As a result, the photo not was quite clear.
